Cranchi T36 Crossover European power boat 2019 winner

Every year, some of the most famous European nautical magazines authors award the best European shipyards.
The T36 Crossover, the innovative boat designed and produced by the Italian shipyard Cranchi, has been awarded the European Powerboat of the Year 2019 in the category under 45 feet.
The nomination recognized Cranchi’s crossover as one of the season’s best yachts in terms of performance, technology and innovation.
The jury, composed of a panel of qualified journalists and nautical experts, selected 25 boats divided into 5 classes. In the category of the T 36 CROSSOVER, the boats had to be suitable for long distances and can sail onshore and offshore. Judges had decided upon qualities of each candidate: marine maneuverability and handling, safety standards, fuel autonomy.

The award ceremony took place on Saturday 19th January, just a few hours before the start of the Düsseldorf Boat Show 2019.
For Guido Cranchi, CEO of the Cranchi Yachts, this award comes at just the right time: „This yacht has in fact initiated a new phase of renewal of our range. The T36 Crossover, as well as the E26 that we presented in the summer or the Settantotto (78) that will debut at the beginning of the next season, shine for their quality and originality. They are models that offer the market something new; boats that conquer the experts and the nautical enthusiasts.  Also, thanks to the extraordinary work on design that our shipyard is conducting together with Christian Grande.“

The T36 Crossover had been rewarded for its innovative approach and its merits in terms of performance, technology, aesthetics and comfort.

On deck, this 11.70 metre long Cranchi T 36 has a sunbathing area in the bow area and a generously proportioned bathing platform at the stern, which is easily accessible via the aft cockpit area. The L-shaped seating area in the aft cockpit is arranged around a table and connected by a large sliding glass door level with the spacious and bright lounge area of the saloon, which features a well equipped kitchen and a U-shaped seating arrangement.

On the main deck, the hard top large covered area is sheltered by the glass panels, which offer protection without shutting out natural light and external visibility. It can be used to transport bicycles and SUP.

Cranchi shipyard offers two configurations below the deck: a two cabin version for four persons and a three cabin version for six persons. Both versions have an owner’s cabin in the bow, with a large double bed and plenty of stowage space and a double cabin with two single beds on board. In the three cabin version, the omission of one of the two bathrooms creates space for a double cabin with bunk bed.

With the Cranchi T 36, designed in the usual elegant lines and flooded with light, Cranchi is launching a motor yacht on the market that is suitable both for shorter tours on lakes and rivers, as well as for extended cruising at sea, and with its two times 300 hp also welcomes sporty owners. But the new T 36 is also ideal for families who want to spend a relaxed and comfortable vacation onboard.

The ability to combine the advantages of a trawler and those of a sports cruiser was certainly a factor in the victory of the T36 Crossover.
